Gambling harm can affect anyone. Early recognition and seeking help are vital to prevent further harm. 

What is Responsible Gaming?  
Responsible gaming involves a set of harm prevention strategies designed to help individuals enjoy gambling strictly as a form of entertainment.

DO: 

  • Take regular breaks   

  • Set and stick to time and/or money limits  

  • Treat gambling as a form of entertainment  

  • Only use money which you can afford to lose  

  • Understand how games work  

  • Balance gambling with other activities  

 

DON'T 

  • Chase losses  

  • Borrow money to gamble  

  • Treat gambling as a way to make money  

  • Gamble when experiencing negative emotions such as loneliness, anger, stress, or depression  

  • Gamble under substances which may impair decision making
